After a failed attempt at ordering a onesie for Leoni online that fitted, I just had to make her one myself (and finished it just in time for Christmas):

The Knitting and Stitching show in Harrogate

For the first time we've made our way down to Harrogate to exhibit at the Knitting and Stitching Show. Ahead of us are four exiting show days at the HIC and if you're planning on visiting the show we would love to welcome you at our stall B225 in hall B.

Linen jacket

I like to try out new patterns, especially unusual styles, and when I came across this Katherine Tilton pattern (Butterick 5891) I just had to have it. It's made in washed linen, the sides are longer than the front and back and the collar is asymmetrical. Should I make it again, and there is quite a high probability, I'll be a bit braver and combine different fabrics. That's the plan anyway. But then I've got another lovely pattern waiting here...

New tops...

...for the two of us: Leoni's top is made from the funky New York jersey (which she chose herself) and my tunic is Vogue pattern 8817, patched together from various jerseys I had lying about.

Schools are back

Leoni starting her final year at primary school today - where have the past six years gone?

When I asked Alan last night if he liked my new top he said: mmh, it looks ok from the front but what's wrong with the back? Ahh, men!
The pattern Butterick 6218 as I really like the style of Katherine Tilton's designs. I used textured knit fabric and some of the pieces are cut on the bias and crosswise which makes the design more interesting.
