Christmas wishes

Another year is coming to an end and I would like to wish all my blog readers, friends and family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Life begins at 40!

Yes, it was my birthday yesterday and I had a FABULOUS day thanks to my friends and family. It started with Champagne breakfast and finished with a great party in the evening. Here are some photos for all of you who couldn't make it and for the rest who hopefully enjoyed themselves :-)

It has been a little quieter here recently which I put down to having to do a million things before Christmas :-) But I managed to make Leoni a new dress for Christmas. I used the Duo Tone dress from Ottobre issue 6/2011, which she had a purple version of last year. And as long as she wants to wear dresses, I'm happy making them....
Leoni still looks a bit pale as she's been ill the past three days with this nasty winter bug and today is the first day she's been actually up. And she had to try it on of course :-)

Nearly there!

This Saturday and Sunday is my last craft fair before Christmas - and I'm really looking forward to not HAVING TO sew to keep the clothes rail full. After this weekend everything gets put away until at least March 2013, yeah! I won't say there won't be any sewing at all - maybe a little bit for me or Leoni, just things that I always wanted to do - but no pressure and just for fun :-)
Anyway, I wanted to show you my last item that I just finished in time for this weekend's fair, it's a hooded anorak in navy baby cord and hippo jersey for a little boy, age 3-4.

It has been a little quieter here recently, but we're all fine so no worries. With having a Christmas craft fair every weekend now it is very busy here in the sewing department and there's not a lot of time for much else. Plus everyone remembers all of a sudden it is only five weeks til Christmas and so custom orders are coming in....

Another t-shirt

for Leoni. Again OTTOBRE 1/2009 (unfortunately discontinued), slim-fit shirt in pink and red stripes. When I cut it I was wondering if it will fit as it seemed really slim verging on too tight. But no, it really fits and child is happy :-)

There's never enough hours in the day but I still managed to sew up all these goodies since Monday, + two and a half baby jackets. Photos of them will follow, sometime, soon, when I get time to photograph them....

Wir are getting prepared for winter: a warm hooded dress in purple jogging sweat. Pattern "Hilda", OTTOBRE 6/2007. So comfy!

Getting prepared

for the next craft fairs. November is going to be a very busy month, I will be out at craft fairs every weekend on the run up to Christmas. So I've been busy sewing up little dribble bibs:

New scarf

A while ago I read a post from Farbenmix on facebook about a patchwork loop scarf made from remnant jersey fabrics. So I had a go and made two last week and oh boy, they are addictive :-) One is already sold and this is the other one:

The patterns are both from the OTTOBRE kids magazine 4/2012, the top is actually a jacket but Leoni didn't want a zip so I just cut the front in one piece. Simples!!
