Your opinion is important

We are planning some changes on our website, we want to make it easier to navigate and introduce new options.
And therefor we would like to ask you for your opinion. We would love to know how you shop for fabrics: do you shop by type of fabric? Or by season or supplier? Do you mind if it last years designs or do you only go for the latest arrivals? Your honest opinion will be very much appreciated.

Fabric combinations

I often get emails from customers asking which fabrics would look nice together, as it can be very hard to judge from single photos. Therefor I have created a new section in my shop: fabric combinations. Here you will find the latest fabrics bundled up in colour stacks to help you find matching materials. It doesn't cover every single item in the shop and of course you are still very welcome to email me for advice, but it might be a little help for you to see some fabrics in combinations you wouldn't have thought of. Here are some examples:

   My second delivery of toy filling arrived yesterday and now I know how much 5kg of polyester stuffing is :-)

                      The elephant herd, the dogs and the donkey are coming to the craft fair with me tomorrow and hopefully find a lovely new home.

One of the herd is still waiting to be stuffed, but I've run out of stuffing...

Do you know how much 1kg polyester toy filling is? I didn't until yesterday anyway, as this is actually the first toy/cushion I've made that needed stuffing. Well, this big fellow swallowed about 250g. And now you can guess what I'm going to do with the remaining 750g....Exactly, the elephant needs a family!

Leoni is not in the mood for a bit of sewing at the moment, so I cut out the first elephant last night myself. I'm going to stitch him together today, but need to go in the town first to get the filling before he can take shape.

Sping has finally arrived in Scotland. I always find it amazing how everything goes from grey and bare, almost looking dead, to green and full of life as soon as the sun comes out and the temperatures rise.

FREE Ebook!

I hope you all had a good Easter. We did an egg hunt in our garden at quarter past seven (7!) on Sunday morning. On school days I'm struggling to get Leoni out of bed at 8!!! Anyway, it was good fun.
